My engagement ring! It took so long because we had a local artist make all three rings as a matching set. They all have this carved-in, vine-like design on them, although only my engagement ring has diamonds set into it. The band on the engagement ring is pretty wide, so we had her make a narrower band for the wedding band. All three look AWESOME!
Before you think I’m some kind of materialistic snob, I want to tell you that J MADE ME GET THIS! I tried to talk him into something inexpensive. I tried to reason with him that we shouldn’t even buy into the whole diamond thing, and that we should get something different. I TRIED! But, you know, he twisted my arm and everything…
At least we did support a local business and a local artist, who was awesome, I must say. She took our sample design and our ideas and created these beautiful, unique rings that we both will cherish for the rest of our lives!

Owch! I just got blinded by some shiny object glowing so brightly I think it burned out my retinas! LOL. Just kidding.
Birdpress – it is fricking gorgeous! What a beautiful ring. It’s so neat and sentimental that all three rings were specially made. And I wouldn’t have considered you materialistic if you had wanted such a nice ring. It’s a symbol of your love and commitment to each other so there is nothing wrong with having something that you will still think is pretty years from now. J was smart in his jewelry choice and his bride choice, don’t ya think?
Thanks for sharing your bling with us.
Thank you, Teeni! That was J’s reasoning too, that I will wear it for the rest of my life and he wanted something I would always cherish. Of course, I would have cherished anything he got for me, but I can’t deny that this ring is absolutely beautiful!
That is a beautiful ring. And the delicate design and strong wide band really makes a statement.
J has good taste.
Also, have you ever considered being a hand model?
Thanks! I’m flattered by your compliment too. I’ve been lucky with my hands and nails, considering my job.
I think maybe dog shampoo is good for them!
Beautiful!!! Congratulations!!! The vine design is AWESOME! I’m totally jealous!
BTW – you do have really nice hands.

Ok, that is a kick ass ring girl! I just hate it when my husband twists my arm like that, LOL!
I know, right?
Thanks, JQ! (Or is it still GQ?)
Beautious. Simply beautious.
Yeah, isn’t it beautificial?
Very lovely! Congrats!
Can you get your hubby-to-be to show mine how to twist my arm?? Please?!?

I just dug this comment out of my spam files. I wonder if your interesting spellings made it go into there?
Oh my gosh, it’s so beautiful. Congratulations! I went with the “no diamonds” thing & sometimes see one & think maybe I should have been a little more traditional! I love that yours is so unique, which makes it much more special.
Thanks! I’m sure yours is just as special. Nontraditional is good too! We almost went that route.
Buuuuuuhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! *totally wells up*
It’s gorgeous! And how nice that you designed it yourselves, it just makes it perfect!
Thanks, Emerald! I love it. Can’t wait to see yours someday (soon?)
Very nice. Very nice indeed.
Thank you. Thank you very much.
Is that a hand model?

Is that a compliment?
