I had a little fender-bender on the way home from work today. I work only a couple miles from my house and was literally about a half-mile from home when this happened. I was turning left off of a main road, at a light, and another car coming toward me was also turning left. The light was yellow as I got under it waiting to turn. It was probably red as I was going, at the same time that other car went too. But there was another car behind that car that ran the light too, and that one hit me. We had the cops come and we both admitted fault, so as of now it seems that we each are responsible for our own cars.
No one was hurt, but my bumper was knocked half-off and hanging down in front of my tire. The other driver actually helped me by taking the bumper off completely so that I could drive home. It’s in my backseat now. I called the insurance company and everything and got an appointment for tomorrow morning to take my car in to get fixed. They arranged for a rental car too. I am planning on still making it to work because I don’t want to call all my clients and try to reschedule, so I hope this all doesn’t make me too late.
Grrr… I didn’t need this shit today. I’ve had so much crap go wrong lately, just little things, and this is just the icing on the shitcake.
In other news, and because I need to post something better than that… I groomed three poodles today and remembered to take a picture of one of them. This one was long overdue for a groom and very matted, but I think he came out cute still. The owner wanted a short topknot and mustache, which I spent some time dematting. The ears were too matted to save, but I managed to clip them pretty long, so they are still fuzzy.

Aww, so sorry about the fender bender. It always is a hassle when things go wrong with cars or when accidents happen. I’m glad nobody was hurt though.
I love seeing the before and afters when you do groom these dogs. I learn so much and they look so cute. You are making me thing I might like to get into the field.

The transformations on these dogs is amazing. It looks like he grew six inches taller, and went from hobo to high class.
Sorry to hear about the car. I know no one wants to hear it, but…no rush, no hurry, drive the speed limit, and don’t run any lights or stop signs. At best you’re only saving yourself a few seconds by doing such things.
Well, I’m normally a very wussy driver, honestly. I don’t speed. I don’t rush. This was just one of those things. I always hated that intersection!

I like this look for boy poodles too, actually. He still looks poodle-y but not girly. Too bad I couldn’t leave more hair on his legs, but they were like casts.
